Oct 22 - Bangkok market at dawn

Off on photo safari this morning..the flower and vegetable market has too many motifs to resist...so I mobilized Bibi at dawn. For some it was still very early.... Compose

We entered the labyrinth that is the market

...this market is open 24 hours a day, seems  to span acres, has tiny alleys crisscrossing it where the sun never seems to reach...

Men with heavy loads barrel down these alleys, delivering things from hither to yon....everywhere the floor is wet...it is known as the wet market, and walking can be treacherous.

Baskets of garlic, onions, chard, cabbage...anything and everything are sold ...

From here the hotels are supplied, the flowers packed for overseas...it is a riot of colour.

Monks are here early to collect their contribution from the vendors...

 Bibi has made friends....

 ...even Lemony is here!
